OPCUG Board

 

Meeting Times

The Board meets on the second Monday of each month at 1:45 and the meeting lasts no more than one hour. All members and guests are welcome to sit in. Following the meeting, our Question & Answer session begins. The General Meeting is held on the third Monday of each month at 2:00 and goes for a nominal one hour. Various subjects of interest to computer users are presented. All meetings are at the Western Recreation Center.

President 2010 - Jack Frantz Jack also served the club as President in 2007.  He has participated in the leadership of the club for a number of years.  Jack continues to serve on the "Board of Experts" who answer members questions at the monthly Q & A Sessions and participates in the preparation of the monthly newsletter. He is well qualified to lead our club forward and make it better. He solicits the help and cooperation of all the members in that endeavor.

 

Immediate Past President 2009 - Gordon Ramsey Gordon thanks the membership for their support during the year 2009. The club grew to it's largest membership, ever, during that year. He continues to serve the club as an officer - Immediate Past President in accordance with the By Laws and also as a volunteer helper to those requesting assistance.

 

Secretary 2010 - Art Nichols  Art continues to serve the club as Secretary and also as Scribe. The principal duty of the latter is to input timely material about the club to the bi-monthly editions of Oakmont News.

 

 

 

Vice President - Ruth Caldwell has been Communciations Chairman to the club for a number of years and will now take on the job of Vice President. The job includes communications with the membership and assisting the President.

 

 

Treasurer - Gary Goodenough is on hand at each General Meeting at a table by the front door of the Western Recreation Center to serve the membership and distribute door prize tickets. Gary has been our treasurer for six years and hasn't lost a penny yet.

 

 

Helper Committee Chairman - Granville DeMerritt maintains a list of resources available to solve computer problems.  This includes volunteers who provide assistance at no charge and also professionals who can be used (for pay) in the event the problem is too extensive or baffling for our volunteers.

 

Questions & Answers Coordinator - Bob Mandelstam is our MC for the Q&A session and provides his wisdom to the board as required.

 

 

 

 

 

Tech/Equip Committee & Webmaster - Gary Pickering takes care of our technical problems that arise and maintains this web page for us.
