Our Next Presentation
Program for September 20, 2010 General Meeting
We are in for a special treat at the September Meeting; Rich Irwin, a long time PC Club member will offer his special insights on using the accessibility features of Windows.
Have you ever thought it would be nice if the words and images on the computer screen were Larger? Have you had trouble finding or following the mouse? At the September 20 meeting, Rich Irwin will demonstrate how to use two free programs available on all versions of Microsoft Windows since Windows 2000. These are 'Magnifier' and 'Navigator'. He will also show you how you can navigate around the computer without the mouse, by using only the keyboard.
Rich has been legally blind since 1998. He has taught the use of accessibility technology for several years. Even if you do not have sight or hearing deficiencies, you will find that navigating around your computer can be easier if you follow some of the basics he will be using.
Our Next Question & Answer Session
Q&A Session for September 13, 2010
Our next Q&A session will occur Monday, September 13, 2010 at 2:45 PM at the West Recreational Center following the board meeting. To help us prepare well-researched answers to you questions, please email them to Bob Mandelstam several days before the meeting. Members bring in questions or problems they are experiencing and using the club's laptop computer, the projector and very large screen, the item is discussed and almost always resolved. We will accept additional questions at the meeting. If you would like to submit a question at the Q&A session using a printed pdf form click here: Q&A Form. 3x5 cards are also provided at the session to write you questions on.

Meeting Times
The club meets the Second and Third Monday of each month in the Western Recreation Center. The Second Monday is the Board Meeting at 1:45 followed by the "Q&A Session" at 2:45 for the full membership, every month except December. The Third Monday is the General Meeting at 2:00. A presentation is given on various computer associated subjects. General meetings are omitted in June, July, August and December.
